Monopalooza official E-mail: monopalooza2010@gmail.com

Schedule: (tentative) The Monopalooza house is booked in Woody Creek (9 miles N. of Aspen) from Monday Feb. 22nd through Monday March 1st. The Monopalooza house is located close to the shuttle parking located at the entrance to Snowmass Village at the light on Highway 82.We will ski at random places the beginning of the week and will probably ski at Snowmass on Thursday and Friday, Highlands on Sat. and Ajax on Sunday.

Transportation in the Valley: There is a taxi service in Snowmass Village that can get you to the bus route. The bus system throughout the valley runs late until 2AM to all ski areas from the Snowmass village turnoff south to town. Aspen is well know for it's phenomenal choice in restaurants, we'll def' do a party night in Aspen... probably Tues. Wed. or Thurs. There is a Woody Creek Shuttle (No information yet)

Transportation North of the Free Bus Service: There is a transportation system in the valley, $3 per way. If you're staying north valley to save $$$ on lodging we recommend you drive and park your car at the East shuttle parking lot at the entrance to Snowmass Village, just East of the stop light. Monopalooza house guests will be parking at this lot in the mornings.

Transportation to the Monopalooza House: Woody Creek has a shuttle service, we will be updating this info as we found out how things work here. If you drive to the house, the driveway is narrow and you will be locked in on Friday and Saturday night when everyone will be there hanging out for the Friday dinner party and the Carnival and Saturday party. Please note: we will figure out what to do with parking, shuttles and or walking to the house from the main road prior to Monopalooza.

The Skiing: Snowmass is a HUGE mountain we'll ski there 2 days for sure, probably week days. Aspen Highlands is good and steep, Buttermilk, not really worth the time... but maybe, they have great grooming!!!... and AJAX is kinda cool because you ski right into town.

Snowmass and Highlands: are 3800 vertical at each, the most vert' in Colorado.

Group booking for tickets: Colorado residents have access to the 5 day Classic Pass to all Aspen resorts for $249 (you must buy them between Oct. 10th and Nov. 15th!!!). I will be working on pass deals for out-of-staters and out-of-country visitors as I have friends in the area that are friends with the Aspen Moutain Prez. All pass information will be posted closer to the time of Monopalooza 2010. We are hoping you can all call the pass office and say you are with Monopalooza 2010 and get a discount rate. We might have to have a minimum of 20 people all getting tickets for 4 or 5 days to lock in a group rate (just forecasting here) so please do not buy tickets individually if we set of a group ticketing account and you are not local. We will need your bodies for group purchasing.
