Hope the summer has been good and full of thoughts of skiing. Im wondering if anyone knows anything about the Donek monoskis or if anyone has been on one? Im interested in the Twin tip ski that they make. Skiing in the park is a little different on my Swell that is huge and not a twip tip. Im looking to find a twin tip monoski that I can start to use in the park. I tried the Duret Free last season, but it just didnt hold well enough in a carve and I did not think it was that stable. I also tried the Duret Magnum which was a fun to ride. Held really good in turns and was quick. Cheers

A few guys I have skied with have the alpine boards and they look good and seem to carve like a razors. I like how the wood grain shows thru the fiberglass. If you are looking for a twin tip check out the Snowshark TT hammer. The board has a great shape and good edge to edge speed. The board also has a very firm edge and holds well. If you are looking for a board that you can lay on your side and carve well this is not for you. The waist is to narrow and you will boot out. All and all it is a good all round ski. Stable at speed, good turning radius and twin tipped. Some of my complaints have been addressed. The current model has been softened. In the right snow conditions mine can rattle your teeth. The shovel has been modified to help it get up in soft snow. The other thing about the board is that it is heavy compared to other monos but they do seem to take a beating. Good luck picking a board.
