Hey there, i have brought my monoski over from france (a HEAD from the mid 80s) with Tyrolia 420 bindings.
I have just purchased a new pair of ski boots and luckily enough the shoe fits the binding without me having to change the adjustments. however i need to adjust the din. however, i have been told by ski rental shops they won't touch it because of liability issues and i am in a bit of a bind because i never had to do it myself.
so my question is, do you adjust the DIN on a monoski in relation to the same factors as you'd do with skis (weight/height/gender/level) or do you need to tweak them a little. Say if i'm a 4 (+2 because I ski rather aggressively), would i set the din to 6 according to regular standards or should i add or decrease from that level because i am on a monoski? just wondering and i appreciate any advice you may give! (the din settings on my bindings go from 1 to 10 - the bindings date from from the mid 80s)
All the best,
